Black and White and Fringe all over:  There can often be hesitation when it comes to trends on the red carpet, but the CFDA awards are a time to showcase the art and Chiara Ferragni does just that.  This Rebecca Minkoff skirt and vest in a chevron fringe embraces this season's favorites in the best way possible.

Transformation Lyoness: Jenna Lyons has not only revamped J.Crew, she has been an integral part in the evolving style at red carpet events. This all black tuxedo jumpsuit is anything but plain. The added touches of metallic and animal print make it a fun choice for a night out!

Reaching New Heights: High School Musical to Spring Breakers to Broadway, Vanessa Hudgens has reached an all new high, and her style game sure has been keeping up.  The actress is stunning in this high-low dress by Sachin & Babi and a simple bun, which keeps the attention on the sophsticated structure of the gown.  A tricky silhouette to pull-off, but with the right confidence it can be done.

Dancer Disaster:  Rodarte designed the perfect dress for a Broadway dance routine, but this Les Miserables actress was only presenting at the CFDA awards. The intricate details and colored sequins sure do turn heads but Amanda Seyfried should have left the stand out look for the Lifetime Acheivement winner, Betsey Johnson.

Missed the Midi-Mark: With a toned tummy like that, Hannah Davis should have no qualms about flashing that midriff in a Milly bralet. The Sport's Illustrated model should show off those assets Derek Jeter so adores rather than overwhelming them with a cropped jacket and a voluminous skirt in a dark color.

Failed Simplicity: A white and black look rarely can look over-the-top, but Katherine McPhee's trendy additions did just that to Paule Ka's classic combination. And while the Rene Caovilla shoes can be applauded, the evening specs should be left to Jenna Lyons.

On Trend and On Fire:  It seems these days, Gigi Hadid can do no wrong.  From the runway, to Maybelline, and all the way to her BFF's Kendall Jenner and Taylor Swifts, this metallic muse proves she's destined to be an A-lister.  Fitting perfectly, no other gown had a chance to outshine this embellished, Michael Kors jumpsuit.

Fringe Binge: Nobody embraces trendy elegance better than Rachel Zoe.  Whether she is doing the styling or designing, her color combinations and enhanced details guarantee a look to Marry.

Reigning in Red: Taraji P. Henson's empire is not just for television and this event appearance in Vera Wang confirms it. The form fitting dress and front slit not only show off her amazing figure, but create a regal presence as she graces the carpet.
