Playing up the theme, China: Through The Looking Glass: This look could have been over-the-top with the unique components but the color, details, and silhouette are subtle enough on Alexa Chung in Erdem to make it a look to try.

Mixing trends: Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gave the ballgown queen an unique twist by adding capsleeves and selecting a bold red, which can be assumed was due to the theme. Allison Williams knows how to make such a challenging trend work for more than just the Emmy's.

If it's not permanent, why not? Painted on branches and flowers is definitely taking a bold risk, but for Cara Delevigne, the sky's the limit. Itis not hard to fall for any variety of a little black jumpsuit. This Stella McCartney version fits her so perfectly, plus the edgy take on the theme and accessories is unique. Inspiration for next year's festival season perhaps?

Matchy-matchy meh: It wasn't the abundance of jewels adorning this beautiful pink Satin Prada that ruined the look, but the gloves and clutch in an overwhelmingly blah color which feature the same jewels.  Olivia Wilde should have just put on the chic headwrap and went out the door hands free.

Cut out the cut-outs: There is a difference between strategically placing sequins on a nearly-nude gown and looking like Atelier Versace may have missed a spot.  Although if anyone, besides Queen Bee obviously, can pull off a practically bare behind, it is Jennifer Lopez in all her "I have the body of a 20 year old at 45" glory.

Moschino-no: It is expected of Katy Perry to choose a stand out style, but the best thing about this look is her trendy pixie cut. The pop princess missed the mark in this Moschino by Jeremy Scott gown and left us wondering...is there a graffiti problem in China that nobody knows about?

Trend Maven: Metallic, check! Box clutch, check! Subtle cut-out and train, check check! Emily Ratajkowski does not miss a beat in this Top Shop midi-dress. The model and actress covers all the trend bases with an effortless subtely, all the while staying on theme.

Pant Suit up: After seeing Diane Kruger in Chanel Couture nobody can claim pants are not appropriate for a formal affair. The all white ensemble emulates elegance and embraces trendy details. The pop of color with the red heart clutch makes it undoubtely a look to love.

Bold and beautiful:This heavenly dress in dove gray by Carolina Herrera makes Lily Aldridge an angel on and off the runway. The light color choice allows for the plunging key-hole neckline and oversized ruffles to avoid looking over-the-top. A bold maroon lip is the perfect choice of the Victoria Secret model to complete the look.
